• Need to allow free text input for variable name on metadata input. GCMD variable keywords allow for a "detailed variable," which
can be defined by the data provider.
• Rethink how we present GCMD keywords for searching. The hierarchical structure may steer people down the wrong path.
• The current highly-structured GCMD keywords are not easy or intuitive to use in the search interface.
