CADIS search requires search indexing of local (or non-brokered) metadata only leaf datasets. Currently only archive datasets (those containing files) and brokered datasets are indexed.

A workaround of placing a single, hidden file within each local metadata only leaf (or "empty") dataset is required for the near term.

1) This hidden file should be added to all existing local "empty" datasets.
2) All new local "empty" datasets should also be created with such an empty file.

Note: most likely the hidden file could be applied to all local leaf datasets (regardless of whether the contain additional, actual files.)

Note: using a FileAccessPoint of StorageType.TEMPORARY may be useful.
