The thredds catalog publishing process enforces certain validation (dataset, logical file) during object creation. However, regardless of the validation errors generated, the transaction is commit. Validation errors should cause the operation to fail and tx be rolled back. An example of such a condition occurs when publishing a replica dataset catalog which does not have a corresponding "master gateway" (eg: the triple store does not contain a resource matching the dataset replicaSourceRdfId).
