The DML Webstart application is currently hosted at LBNL: http://datagrid.lbl.gov/dml3/jnlp/dml.html

This central resource suffers the following problems:

1) Single point of failure for DML downloads
2) Gateway/DML version dependencies are not well defined.

Ideally the DML application should be packaged within the Gateway software itself to avoid these issues. This approach has been recommended by the ESG collaborators.
