Multiple requests for secured CMIP5 data can put a strain on the access control layer since the Authorisation Service must query PCMDI's Attribute Service to check user CMIP5 group entitlement each time. This could be improved by changing the Authorisation Service so that it caches responses from the Attribute Service for any given user. Responses should be cached for a given configurable time period.
