Currently the only validation performed on the dates entered in the CADIS metadataeditor is to make sure that the end date is not before the begin date. A user is allowed to enter invalid dates, such as February 31, which will be converted into a date of March 2; an error is not be thrown.
It would be nice if a user was not even allowed to enter an invalid date, either by it not being an option to begin with or nice useful error messages. However, the current implementation does not allow for this at all.
