Problem:
When glade goes down, the Gateway does not having any behavior to notice that problem and just hands all exceptions back to the end user without any information or what to do.
Acceptance Criteria:
When glade goes down or becomes unresponsive, send exceptions that clearly explain the problem. This could be both for browser and script requests.
Display a banner message explaining the problem.
Send an email to the sage team explaining the problem.
After glade comes back up, gracefully handle the service coming back up and remove the banner message explaining the problem.
Notes:
Perhaps have a way that the administrator could force the gateway to believe that the glade is backup and available.
