SJM:

This can occur under several possible scenarios.
a) direct link to a url (e.g. via email)
b) clicking on the metadata link from a data page (verify behavior once data->simulation is fixed)





When browsing (in this case I never did a search) a dataset, Model Metadata may be a possible link. If you click that link the metadata page has a back to search link.

1) We didn't come from search so going back doesn't make sense.
2) If you click the link the all the search options are empty so it doesn't look like you can do anything with it.
