The data request workflow no longer includes a concept of a "Data Cart." This feature was prevalent in the ESG-2 system and is a well-known model for managing data download requests. Many reviewers and collaborators use the term "Data Cart" in describing the gateway workflow which implies this may be a needed concept. The feature was removed in an attempt to improve the data request/download user experience (perhaps arbitrarily.) This area needs review.
